Smudging is a traditional spiritual practice used by many Indigenous cultures in North America and beyond. It involves burning specific herbs, often sage, cedar, sweetgrass, or tobacco, to create smoke that is used for purification, healing, and blessing. Smudging is deeply rooted in the belief that the smoke can cleanse negative energy, promote healing, and create a sacred space.
